River Jam Artist Preview: Gunnar Latham

A new arriver on the scene, Gunnar Latham’s love for music sprouted while growing up devoted to two sets of religious beliefs – the Southern Baptist church and rodeo. His father was a bull riding preacher, so it only made sense for Gunnar to wrestle steers while singing in the choir loft on Sundays. In 2019, Latham decided to take the Josh Ward route, dropping his calf rope in favor of his guitar. With the spring release of is first EP titled “Volume I”, Gunnar begins a different kind of grind, the one of a young country singer trying to establish himself in a crowded Texas music scene.

Gunnar Latham makes his Galleywinter River Jam debut on Sunday, August 1st at Lone Star Floathouse.
