Music Premiere: Curtis Grimes – “River Road Dream”

Curtis Grimes music

Seeing as it is River Jam week, we thought it would be good to slide in a little river themed music premiere for all of you. On Friday, Curtis Grimes is finally releasing his long awaited self-titled record. Most of the album is already out there in the form of singles, including our featured track “River Road Dream.” You may have heard it as it’s already in the hunt on some of the Texas regional radio charts.

A feel good love song, “River Road Dream” is a Texas spin on the American Dream. A young couple saving their pennies to afford a little piece of riverfront heaven in the heart of the hill country. Remarkably simple, yet delivered as if it’s straight off a mid-90s Clay Walker record. Grimes takes what could have been a campy tune and turns it into little toe tapper that you’ll sing to without realizing it.

If you happen to catch us floating down the Guadalupe this weekend, this one might be coming out of our JBL. Enjoy.
