Greenfest Artist Preview: Kelley Mickwee
While The Trishas are on an indefinite hiatus, Kelley Mickwee is using her newfound time to create her first solo album. Entitled You Used To Live Here, the album is set to drop on July 22, just a few days before she will be appearing at Greenfest. Mickwee’s solo work is phenomenal. Her voice is incredibly soulful and poignant, and her songs are exactly the same. Not only can she sing and write, she’s also a fine instrumentalist. Like most of The Trishas, she often juggled many different instruments (guitar, harmonica, percussion, etc) in order to create a full sound in the music. She is a must see for any fan of soulful Southern music. – Dallas Terry
