10th Annual Greenfest!

We are proud to announce the musical line-up for our annual party and reunion, Greenfest.

The event began in 2002 as a way for the folks who frequented Galleywinter.com to come together and meet face to face in what was a precursor to the type of “tweet-up” social networking crazes we know today.

The name Greenfest blossomed from the website’s namesake Pat Green and his song “Galleywinter”. People have come from over 20 states and 3 countries to connect over a fostered love of Texas Music.  Over the years, the event has been held in Austin, Waco, San Antonio and New Braunfels; and has featured music from Hayes Carll, Randy Rogers Band, Wade Bowen, Brandon Rhyder, Stoney LaRue, Micky and the Motorcars, Turnpike Troubadours, Bleu Edmondson and Walt Wilkins among others.

2011 marks the tenth anniversary of the event which will be held over 2 days at three different venues in New Braunfels, TX.  The festival starts on Saturday July 30 at Lone Star Music Store, before transitioning to  The Phoenix Saloon that night.  A mid afternoon group float kicks off  the festivities on Sunday July 31 at LoneStar Floathouse with an acoustic songswap to follow.

In a nod to the event’s history and the future of the site and music scene, the line-up features performers both new and returning to the Greenfest stage.
